The Role of Youth in the Perspective of the Algerian Association for Human Relations and Solidarity
The United Nations plays a crucial role in developing and protecting youth through sports, recognizing it as an effective means to promote human values such as cooperation, belonging, and health. Through various programs, the UN encourages the use of sports as a tool for social development, helping young people build skills and foster team spirit.
The Algerian Association for Human Relations and Solidarity aligns with these efforts by organizing sports activities aimed at attracting youth and raising their awareness. The thematic football tournaments, such as the “Stop Smoking” tournament, the “No to AIDS” tournament, and the “Blood Donation” tournament, are essential components of their strategy.
Objectives of these tournaments include:
-
Health Awareness: Highlighting the dangers of smoking and AIDS, while promoting the importance of blood donation as a humanitarian act.
-
Community Building: Strengthening bonds among youth and empowering them to work together on shared causes.
-
Encouraging Participation: Engaging young people in sports activities, helping them steer away from harmful behaviors.
Through these initiatives, the association contributes to promoting healthy and social values, fostering a conscious and compassionate generation.
